‘Indra’ Trailer and Audio Launched; Serial Killer Thriller Hits Screens August 22

The trailer and audio of Indra, a gripping serial killer thriller starring Vasanth Ravi, Mehreen Pirzada, and Sunil, were launched on 9th August 2025 at a private Mall in Chennai. The grand event was attended by huge crowd of fans and media in Chennai.

Directed by debutant Sabareesh Nanda and produced by JSM Movie Production & Emperor Entertainment, the film promises high-voltage suspense and action, releasing August 22 across Tamil Nadu via Trident Arts.

Speaking at the launch, Vasanth Ravi called Indra “one of Tamil cinema’s most important thrillers,” praising Mehreen and Sunil for their standout performances. Director Sabareesh revealed the project was 11 years in the making, while producer Jaffar Sadiq said they greenlit the film within a week of hearing the story.

Sunil described the plot as “unlike anything I’ve acted in or seen before,” and Mehreen said her role as Kayal was one of the most challenging of her career. Music director Ajmal Tahseen promised the soundtrack, especially the song Uyire, would connect with audiences.

With cinematography by Prabhu Raghav, editing by Praveen KL, and music by Ajmal Tahseen, Indra is set to deliver an edge-of-the-seat theatrical experience this August 22.
