Under the banner of Sri Green Productions, producer M.S. Saravanan and director Shanmugam Muthusamy have teamed up for the political thriller “Adangathe”. E5 Entertainment, led by J. Jayakrishnan, will release the film worldwide in theatres this June.
At a press meet held a couple of days ago in Chennai, key figures including J. Jayakrishnan (E5 Entertainment), actor-composer G.V. Prakash Kumar, distributor G.N. Azhagarsamy, financier Padham, director Thirumalai, producer Rajarajan, cinematographer Pramod, and director Suresh participated. The team confirmed the June release date during the event. Both producer Saravanan and director Shanmugam Muthusamy warmly welcomed the attendees.
“Adangathe” features G.V. Prakash Kumar and Supreme Star Sarathkumar in lead roles. The film is described as a gripping commentary on contemporary politics. Actress Surbhi plays the female lead, while renowned Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi takes on a pivotal role. Comedians Yogi Babu and Thambi Ramaiah also add strength to the ensemble cast. Notably, Seeman, the chief coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi party, appears in a key honorary role.
Speaking about the film, director Shanmugam Muthusamy said, “This is a political thriller that boldly addresses modern political dynamics. G.V. Prakash Kumar impresses as a young man repairing two-wheelers, while Supreme Star Sarathkumar commands the screen as a political leader. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Seeman sir, who plays a major turning point role in the story.”
He added, “The narrative starts in Tiruchirappalli and extends all the way to Kashi, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. With Tamil Nadu’s political landscape heating up, we are excited to bring this film to theatres this June.”
The music for “Adangathe” is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar himself. P.K. Varma handles cinematography, while D. Sivanandeeswaran takes charge of editing. The film’s songs feature lyrics by Kabilan, Sahithi, Arunraja Kamaraj, Umadevi, Parvathi and Sivaganga.
