Karthi’s upcoming film titled ‘Karthi 27’ has been creating a huge buzz in the industry. The film, produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment has got its title revealed now.
Titled “Meiyazhagan”, the first look unveiled on 25 May marking the event of Karthi’s birthday has received wild responses from fans and netizens.
Arvindsami will also play a significant lead role in the film, alongside Rajkiran, Sri Divya, Swathi Konde, Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Sri Ranjani, Ilavarasu, Karunakaran, Saran, Rachel Rebecca, Anthony, Rajkumar, Indumati, Rani Samyukta, Kayal Subramani, Ashok Pandian, and others.
The film is directed by C.Prem Kumar, known for creating a poignant film, ’96’. Apart from helming this project, he has written story, screenplay and dialogues for this film.
Govind Vasantha, who scored the hits of the film ’96’ is collaborating with C.Prem Kumar for this film again.
The film has been shot across the exquisite locales of Kumbakonam and Sivagangai. Currently, the editing and post production works will be wrapped up in the near future.

The film is written and directed by C.Premkumar, produced by Jyotika and Suriya, co-produced by Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian, cinematography is handled by Mahendran Jayaraju, music is scored by Govind Vasantha, editing work is carried out by R.Govindaraj and lyrics are written by Karthik Netha and Umadevi.
