The decline of a star: The Raaja Saab to the rescue?

Prabhas, who predominantly works in Telugu Film Industry, rose to stardom with his debut in “Eeswar” and experienced a massive breakthrough with “Baahubali:The Beginning” and “Baahubali 2:The Conclusion”. But unfortunately, we can see his acting skills have deteriorated after his breakthrough in “Baahubali:The Beginning” and “Baahubali 2:The Conclusion”. Though movies like “Saaho”, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire”, “Radhe Shyam”, “Adipurush” collected a whopping amount, his acting skills weren’t pleasing and film critics and cinematic enthusiasts felt Prabhas could’ve done better. Though “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire”, and “Saaho” was financially sound, Prabhas’ acting wasn’t spoken proudly and “Kalki:2898 AD” was a success due to its technical aspects.

Prabhas is currently working on “The Raaja Saab” directed by Maruthi and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner People Media Factory. The film’s musical score is carried out by Thaman S. The film includes a power-packed cast consisting of Niddhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar along with Prabhas. This has heightened the anticipation among fans and cinematic enthusiasts. “The Raaja Saab” is scheduled to hit the screens on December 5, 2025 in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu.

There was a time when Prabhas was in his prime delivering huge hits and known for his exceptional acting skills. But Prabhas’ market has crashed down since “Saaho”, it is uncertain whether “The Raaja Saab” will be a success. If this continues, Prabhas will no longer be one of the handful to dominate the South Indian Film Industry and his forthcoming film “Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam” will no longer create buzz in the industry and might face enormous losses.
