Acclaimed Kannada filmmaker Vinay Krishna, known for his hit films Seizer and Hunter, is stepping into the Tamil film industry with his new project titled Worker.
Produced by M. Shobana Rani under the PRIMUK PRESENTS banner, the film stars popular actor Jai in the lead role, with Yogi Babu playing a pivotal character. Supporting roles will be filled by Nagi Needu and others, while a leading actress — whose name is yet to be revealed — will play the female lead opposite Jai.
Worker is positioned as a romantic action thriller, promising a fresh cinematic experience with its sharp and unpredictable screenplay. Speaking about the project, director Vinay Krishna said, “Although the film has a love story at its core, it’s intricately woven with romance, action, and thriller elements that will offer audiences something they’ve never seen before. The twists and turns will keep viewers guessing from start to finish.”
The makers officially unveiled the film’s title on World Labour Day, reflecting the film’s thematic undertone. Music will be composed by Ghibran, and top industry names are currently in talks to join as cinematographer and editor.
The film will feature four songs and five action sequences, with planned shoots across striking locations including Chennai, Pondicherry, Mysore, and Mangalore. Further details about the heroine and the technical crew are expected to be announced soon.
