Around 40 PhD Doctorates debut as actors in a Tamil movie!

‘Parari’ is a new Tamil movie directed by debutant Ezhil Periyavedi. He had earlier worked as an assistant with Director Rajumurugan in ‘Joker’ and few other movies of his directorial.

Ezhil Periyavedi addressed the media to update about his debut movie ‘Parari’. He introduced himself about his experience and knowledge gathering from his mentor Rajumurugan. In his media address he said, “I approached many producers and narrated this story to them. All the producers who listened to this story were very much impressed, but they did not give me an opportunity to direct the movie. I was not able to understand why I wasn’t given the opportunity to direct this movie. I who got frustrated, met my director Rajumurugan and conveyed him about my inability in finding a producer for my movie and told him that I would wish to leave this cinema industry and return back to my native. Rajumurugan who was shocked with my statement held his breath for few seconds and said that he would initiate to present this movie and that gave me a hope to start my directorial venture.

I come from a village in Tiruvannamalai District which is the Northern part of Tamil Nadu. I wanted to make a movie on which I have heard and seen. Then I decided to make a movie about mango cultivation and the same being transported to a neighbouring state and the clash that happens between two different caste people. In my movie I have portrayed that the labourers of all castes are the same to their boss and it is the boss who indulges in creating rivalry within them for his selfish comfortability.

This movie stars Harisankar and Sangeetha Kalyan in the lead roles. Harisankar had earlier played the lead in the movie ‘Thozhar Venkatesan’. Apart from these two actors, I have introduced around 40 debut actors who hold Doctorates. We made many number of rehersals of the full movie and then went for the shoot. The movie was completed with two schedules in Tiruvannamalai District and parts of Karnataka state. ‘Parari’ movie does not support, oppose or defame any caste. It is a movie which would make everyone think that we are human being it is the caste that keep us seperated and create unnecessary enimity within us. I would assure that ‘Parari’ will make every audience feel and recollect about their experience in their past or present life” said Ezhil Periyavedi the director of the movie.

The movie has five songs written by Uma Devi and music composed by Sean Roldan. Azhagiya Koothan and Suren.G have worked on sound mixing. Stunts have been choreographed by Fire Karthi and Dance has been choreographed by Abhinaya Karthik. Sridhar has handled Cinematography, Sam RDX has taken care of Editing and Ezhil Periyavedi has Directed the movie. ‘Parai’ is produced by Harisankar in the banner of ‘Kala Films’ and presented by Director Rajumurugan.

‘Parari’ is planned to be released in the mid of September 2024.
