The title, ‘Kanneera’, beautifully combines the themes of love and tears. The word itself means “water in the eyes,” symbolizing the emotional rollercoaster of love. Additionally, the heroine’s character, Neera, inspired the name, adding another layer of depth to the title.
The film features Chandini Kaur, Maya Kalammi, and Nandakumar NKR in pivotal roles, with Kausalya Navaratnam not only penning the story but also contributing as the co-director.
