Multitasking by Avinash Prakash!

“Naangal” is shot entirely in live sound with original background score composed by Ved Shanker, who made use of A R Rahman-mentored Firdaus Orchestra majorly to give soul to his tunes.

Avinash Prakash is making his directorial debut with the film “Naangal” produced by GVS Raju under the banner of Kala Bhavashri Creations. Besides writing and helming the movie, the cinematography of the movie and editing has been carried out by Avinash Prakash as well.

‘Naangal’, which narrates the emotional tale of three children, was screened at major international film festivals which included Rotterdam, Mostra Sao Paulo, Jio Mami, and Bengaluru and won heartfelt appreciation from various quarters. “Naangal” is scheduled to hit the screens on April 18 by S.Subiah of SSI Productions.

Avinash Prakash, the director said, “The story is about how three children who grow up under a disciplinarian father, who is dealing with his own demons. Everyone who has seen the film so far has praised it, feeling overwhelmed and emotional. I am sure the audience will also welcome it when it is released in theaters on April 18.”

Mithun V, Rithik M, Nithin D play the three children, while Abdul Rafe and Prarthana S play their parents.

Ved Shanker Sugavanam, who is known for his works in films including ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom’ and ‘Azhagu Kutti Chellam’, has composed the music for “Naangal”. A soulful song Kanave composed by Ved Shanker Sugavanam, penned by Sujatha Narayanan and sung by Saindhavi is part of the movie. The film has been shot entirely in live sound.
