‘Love Insurance Kompany’: Pradeep Ranganathan & Vignesh Shivan’s Futuristic Love Story Gears Up for a Grand April 10 Release

The much-anticipated Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), directed by Vignesh Shivan and starring Pradeep Ranganathan, is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on April 10, with its pre-release event turning into a grand celebration attended by thousands of fans.

Positioned as a futuristic romantic entertainer with strong sci-fi elements, the film has already generated significant buzz for its unique concept. Set in a world where love itself becomes rare, the story revolves around a young man’s emotional journey to protect and hold on to his relationship—promising a blend of innovation and heartfelt storytelling.

Speaking at the event, editor Pradeep E Raghav revealed the scale of the film, stating that every frame demanded extensive CGI and art work, making it one of the most challenging projects he has worked on. He also highlighted an unusual creative approach where scenes were shot first and music was composed later to suit the visuals, calling it a “completely new experience.”

Art director Muthuraj emphasized the film’s futuristic setting and evolving technology, noting how the team had to constantly adapt to rapidly changing ideas around AI and design. He also praised the collaboration of talents like Anirudh and cinematographer Ravi Varman, calling the film visually and technically rich.

Filmmaker Ram lauded Vignesh Shivan’s courage in choosing unconventional stories, describing him as a director who consistently pushes boundaries. He remarked that even as technology evolves, “love remains the only constant emotion,” underlining the film’s core theme.

Actor-director RJ Balaji and others at the event spoke about Pradeep Ranganathan’s growth, with Balaji even calling himself a fan of the young actor and predicting a long, successful career for him. Actress Gouri Kishan described the film as a journey of patience, while Krithi Shetty called it one of the most important projects of her career, praising the detailing and effort that went into every aspect of the film.

Director Vignesh Shivan, in an emotional speech, shared the struggles behind bringing the project to life, including delays, budget challenges, and setbacks. He expressed strong faith in the audience, stating that the connection with viewers is what kept him going. “This film is the world I imagined—the future I wanted to show,” he said, adding that the journey was made possible by the unwavering support of his team and producers.

The film also stars Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Gouri Kishan, and Sha Ra, with Seeman in a special appearance. With music composed by Anirudh, cinematography by Ravi Varman, editing by Pradeep E Raghav, and production design by Muthuraj, the film boasts a strong technical crew.
