The much-anticipated historical drama #NBK111, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Gopichand Malineni, was launched today in Hyderabad with a grand pooja ceremony. The film, backed by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, marks the blockbuster duo’s reunion after the massive success of Veera Simha Reddy.
Nayanthara joins Balakrishna as the female lead, marking their fourth collaboration after Simha, Jai Simha, and Sri Rama Rajyam.
At the launch ceremony, Andhra Pradesh Ministers Anagani Satya Prasad and Gottipati Ravi Kumar handed over the script to the makers. Director B. Gopal gave the inaugural clap, while Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini switched on the camera. The first shot was directed jointly by Boyapati Sreenu, Bobby, and Buchi Babu. Several top filmmakers and industry personalities were present at the event.
#NBK111 is positioned as a large-scale period drama, marking Malineni’s first venture into the historical genre. The film aims to present Balakrishna in a completely new and commanding avatar. A special poster released by the team shows him in a fierce royal look, complete with long hair, thick beard, and weapons in hand.
Promising a blend of intense emotion, action, and grand visuals, the film is being mounted on a massive scale. Details of the supporting cast and full technical crew will be announced soon.
