Prajin’s Crime Thriller ‘Andharan’ Set for June 25 Release; Director Promises an Unpredictable Climax

The makers of the upcoming Tamil crime thriller Andharan, starring Prajin in the lead role, unveiled exciting details about the film during a press meet held in Chennai ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on June 25.

Produced by M. K. Sambasivam under the banner of Sri Krish Pictures and directed by Santhosh Ravanan, Andharan features Prajin alongside Ivana Varun, Anupama Kumar, Aadhiran Padman, Aruvi Bala, Ramesh Babu, Arjun Dev, Priyanka Selvi, Aishwarya Kannan and several others in pivotal roles. The film has cinematography by Kishore Ramachandran and music composed by Hari S. R.

Speaking at the event, director Santhosh Ravanan revealed that Andharan is not just another crime thriller but is inspired by a real-life court case that is currently under legal proceedings. While refraining from disclosing further details about the subject, he hinted that the film deals with a serious issue that people often overlook in their daily lives until its consequences become evident.

The director also promised a unique climax that would leave audiences surprised, comparing its impact to the memorable twists seen in acclaimed thrillers such as Por Thozhil, Ratsasan, and Thegidi. He added that although the film belongs to the thriller genre, it also contains strong romantic elements that play a significant role in the narrative.

Actress Ivana Varun, who makes her debut with Andharan, described the project as a special milestone in her career. She thanked the entire team for their support during the shoot and expressed confidence that audiences would connect with the film when it hits theatres.

Producer C. V. Kumar, who attended the event as a special guest, revealed that he had already watched the film and praised its engaging screenplay. According to him, the narrative remains unpredictable until the very end, making it a compelling theatrical experience. He expressed confidence that audiences would appreciate the film’s content and storytelling.

Producer M. K. Sambasivam stated that Andharan is his third production venture after Adavi and Manithargal. He emphasized that the film carries a socially relevant message while presenting it in an entertaining crime-thriller format. He also appealed to the industry to support films made by newcomers, pointing out that many of today’s leading stars were once fresh faces in the industry.

Lead actor Prajin expressed his belief that Andharan could become a turning point in his two-decade-long career. He said the team had worked through numerous challenges to create a quality film and assured audiences that the movie would offer full value for both their time and money.

The event was also attended by special guests including Bigg Boss personalities Vikram and Sabari, along with actress Sandra, who extended their wishes to the cast and crew.

With its intriguing premise, suspense-driven narrative, and promises of unexpected twists, Andharan is gearing up to hit theatres worldwide on June 25.
