Vijay Sethupathi Turns Lyricist for Director Kumaran’s Musical ‘Iruvar’!

‘Jada’ fame director Kumaran has come up with an interesting musical presentation titled ‘Iruvar’, bringing together popular talents from the Tamil film and music industries. Produced by StoneBrook Films, the musical features music composed by Nivas K. Prasanna, with vocals by Sooraj Santhosh and actress Aditi Shankar. Adding a special attraction to the project, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has penned the lyrics.

‘Iruvar’ explores the emotions of love, relationships and human connections through music and visual storytelling. Director Kumaran, who earned attention through his earlier film ‘Jada’, has taken a different creative approach with this project, moving away from conventional dialogue-driven storytelling and using music, lyrics, performances and visuals to communicate emotions.

Music composer Nivas K. Prasanna, known for his work in films such as ‘Thegidi’, ‘Sethupathi’ and ‘Oh My Kadavule’, has composed the music for this presentation. The song brings together the distinctive voices of Sooraj Santhosh and Aditi Shankar, whose combination is expected to add further emotional depth to the composition. Aditi Shankar, who has made her mark as both an actress and singer, plays an important part in this musical collaboration.

One of the major highlights of ‘Iruvar’ is Vijay Sethupathi's contribution as the lyricist. Known for his unconventional approach and natural portrayal of characters, the actor has now extended his creative contribution to songwriting. His association with the project has added considerable interest and expectations among music lovers.

For director Kumaran, ‘Iruvar’ marks a new creative journey after ‘Jada’. The filmmaker has explored a musical storytelling format that gives prominence to emotions, melody and visual aesthetics. The project aims to convey the beauty of love and human relationships through an engaging combination of music and cinematic presentation.

StoneBrook Films has brought together an experienced technical team for the project. Produced by Vinod Kumar, Pushpakala and Kumaran, the musical has cinematography by Arjun Raja and editing by Deepak. Jai Murugan has handled the art direction, while Hevin Booster has taken care of additional keyboard and rhythm production as well as additional mastering.
