Madhavan’s Transformation as G.D. Naidu Creates Buzz Ahead of July Release

Actor R. Madhavan is set to bring the inspiring story of legendary inventor G.D. Naidu to the big screen in an upcoming film based on a true incident from the visionary’s life. Produced by Varghese Moolan Pictures in association with Tricolour Films, the much-awaited project is gearing up for a grand theatrical release this July.

The makers recently unveiled a striking new poster featuring Madhavan, and the actor’s remarkable transformation into G.D. Naidu has already sparked excitement among movie lovers and industry circles. His look in the film has drawn appreciation from fans, with many praising the effort taken to recreate the iconic inventor’s appearance on screen.

Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, the film explores an important chapter in the life of G.D. Naidu, popularly known as the “Edison of India” and the “Wealth Creator of Coimbatore” for his pioneering contributions across multiple industries. The film aims to showcase the lesser-known side of the inventor’s journey and achievements.

Apart from Madhavan, the film features a strong ensemble cast including Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Thambi Ramaiya, Vinay Rai and Karunakaran in pivotal roles. The collaboration between Varghese Moolan Pictures and Tricolour Films after the National Award-winning success of “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect” has further heightened expectations surrounding the project.

The theatrical release in Tamil Nadu will be handled by AGS Cinemas, while Spirit Media will distribute the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. AP International will manage the overseas release and Urvashi Theatres will distribute the film in Kerala, ensuring a wide theatrical reach across markets.

With shooting already wrapped and post-production work progressing at a brisk pace, the team is preparing to deliver an emotionally engaging and inspiring cinematic experience to audiences this July. Industry insiders are already describing the film as one of Madhavan’s most compelling transformations in recent years.
