Vijay Sethupathi-Mysskin's 'Train' Raises Expectations at Grand Audio and Teaser Launch Ahead of August Release

The makers of 'Train', starring Vijay Sethupathi and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mysskin, officially launched the film's audio and teaser at a grand event held at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai. Produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the V Creations banner, the event witnessed the presence of several leading filmmakers and members of the Tamil film industry, making it one of the biggest promotional launches of the year.
The action thriller features an ensemble cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Shruti Haasan, Ira Dayanand, Preethi Karan, Malavika Sundar, Diya Sharma, Nassar, K.S. Ravikumar, Sampath Raj, Narain, Kalaiyarasan and several others. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in August.
Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu revealed that he backed the project purely out of his confidence in Mysskin and, for the first time, did not insist on listening to the script before production began. He also disclosed that an elaborate eight-compartment train set was specially built for the film and praised Vijay Sethupathi's dedication along with the performances of the entire cast.
Speaking at the event, Mysskin described Train as a project written specifically for Vijay Sethupathi. Calling the actor an exceptional performer, the director said the role demanded Sethupathi's unique screen presence and praised his ability to complete most scenes in a single take. He also thanked producer Thanu for standing firmly behind the project throughout its journey.
Vijay Sethupathi expressed his happiness at finally collaborating with Mysskin after years of mutual admiration. Recalling memorable moments from the shoot, he described the director as someone who inspires his team through warmth, encouragement and generosity. The actor added that Train is not only an edge-of-the-seat thriller but also a film packed with emotional depth.
Shruti Haasan, Ira Dayanand, Preethi Karan, Malavika Sundar and other members of the cast shared their experiences of working on the film and thanked the director and producer for the opportunity. Ira Dayanand, who makes her Tamil cinema debut with the film, said acting alongside Vijay Sethupathi was a dream come true.
Veteran actors Nassar and K.S. Ravikumar praised Mysskin's distinctive filmmaking style and professionalism, while several actors and technicians expressed confidence that the film would offer audiences a refreshing cinematic experience.
Filmmakers including Vetrimaaran, Ram, Ameer, R. Parthiban, Vignesh Shivan, Sasi, Arun Matheswaran, Madonne Ashwin and P.S. Vinothraj congratulated the team, applauding Mysskin's unique storytelling, Vijay Sethupathi's versatility and Kalaipuli S. Thanu's commitment to ambitious cinema.
The teaser received an enthusiastic response from fans and industry guests at the launch, significantly boosting anticipation for Train, which is expected to arrive in theatres this August.
