The trailer of Rocking Star Yash’s much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been released, offering a glimpse into an ambitious gangster drama shaped by power struggles, betrayal, emotional conflicts and redemption. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, the film appears to combine large-scale action with a layered narrative driven by complex relationships.

At the centre of the trailer is Yash’s dual portrayal of Raya and Ticket, presented as a father and son whose relationship takes a dramatic turn as they find themselves on opposing sides of a larger conflict. The father-son confrontation gives the film an emotional dimension beyond its action-heavy setting, while also establishing what could be one of the story’s central conflicts.

The trailer also introduces the characters played by Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi. Their individual character arcs appear to be closely connected to the larger web of rivalries and relationships surrounding Raya and Ticket. Each character is shown with a distinct presence, suggesting that the film’s narrative will extend beyond a conventional gangster storyline.

Geetu Mohandas brings a dark and atmospheric visual approach to the film, with the trailer featuring elaborate production design, intense action sequences and striking locations. The cinematography adds to the film’s textured visual world, while the conflict between its central characters provides the emotional tension behind the spectacle.

Rather than relying solely on action, Toxic appears to explore themes of love, ambition, the hunger for power, betrayal and redemption. The trailer moves between explosive confrontations and emotionally charged moments, hinting at a story in which personal relationships are as important as the larger power struggle.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been shot simultaneously in English and Kannada and will also be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The multilingual release is expected to take the film’s action-driven world to audiences across different regions.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups stars Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles. Produced jointly by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026.
