Jayam Ravi an Ambulance Driver is a life sentence prisoner. He defends that he has been convicted for a murder he has not done. Jayam Ravi comes out of the prison on parole to see his ailing father. Jayam Ravi’s angry daughter avoids meeting or talking to his father.
During his parole period, four murders takes place. Keerthi Suresh who is the Police Inspector keeps investigating the murders. At one point of time Jaya Ravi is being suspected as the murderer and evidence fails to prove that Jayam Ravi committed those murders.
The remaining part of the story and the climax of the movie would showcase, whether Jayam Ravi was the real murderer to suffer a life sentence imprisonment? Who murdered four persons during the parole period of Jayam Ravi? Was Keerthi Suresh able to find out about murderers? Was Jayam Ravi able to talk to his daughter?
Debutante director Antony Bhagyaraj has well narrated the script and has presented in a way that the audience would watch interestingly. Selvakumar SK has done justice to his cinematography. He has shown variations in the colour tone during the festival lighting, night effects and jail scenes. Ruben’s editing has made the audience watch from the start to end without any hesitations. G.V.Prakash Kumar’s music stays as a backbone for the film.
Jayam Ravi who always does justice to his acting has one step gone forward with his look and matured acting. Scenes of Jayam Ravi’s father-daughter bonding would make the audience shed tears. Keerthi Suresh in her new look as a Police Inspector has done well. Her mannerism and her acting in this movie reminds us of actor Vijay’s mannerism. It looks like Keerthi Suresh keeps watching Vijay’s movies a lot. Nothing special to say about Anupama Parameswaran. Yogi Babu’s comical dialogues surely keep the audience enjoying and laughing. Samuthirakani, Azhagam Perumal, Thulasi, Ajay and others have done what they have been assigned.
‘Siren’ is a mixture of Crime Thriller, Sentiment and Action filled movie. The movie also speaks on honor Killing.
