Suhas Hide & Silk Title Glimpse Released by Soori and Varun Tej

The title glimpse of Hide & Silk, an upcoming bilingual film starring Suhas, has been released by Stone Bench Studio and Misrilall Pictures. Actor Varun Tej unveiled the glimpse for Telugu audiences, while actor Soori launched it for Tamil audiences. Offering a glimpse into an unusual world where traditional silk weaving meets modern life, the promotional video has sparked curiosity about the film’s distinctive storyline.
Produced by Kaarthikeyan Santhanam of Stone Bench Studio and Vartika Jain of Misrilall Pictures, Hide & Silk marks a new collaboration between the two production houses. Kaarthikeyan Santhanam, who has produced 18 films across Tamil and Malayalam cinema, is expanding his production ventures into Telugu cinema with a planned slate of four films, with Hide & Silk being the first project. The film is scheduled for release in both Tamil and Telugu.
Following his success with Mandaadi, Suhas plays the lead role in the film, which also features Sanjana, known for her performances in Lubber Pandhu and DC, veteran actor Tanikella Bharani, Nandu and Karunakaran in important roles. Written and directed by Rajendra Bala, who previously worked as an associate director with acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj, the film marks his directorial debut.
The newly released title glimpse introduces a silk weaver whose life intersects with that of a modern woman. Through the weaver’s narration, the promo explores the poetic idea that every silk saree has a woman destined to wear it and that its beauty goes beyond the intricate process of weaving. The intriguing thought that a saree chooses its rightful wearer even as it is being woven adds an interesting dimension to the narrative, hinting at a story that brings together two contrasting worlds.
The film features cinematography by Karthik Palani, editing by Shafique Mohamed Ali and music composed by Amrit Ramnath, who attracted attention for his work in 3 BHK. Suresh Selvarajan, known for his work in Animal and Petta, serves as the production designer. Jashuva handles the stunt choreography, Praveen Raja is responsible for costume design, Sherif choreographs the dance sequences, and Mohan Rajan pens the lyrics. Sound design is handled by Suren G and Alagiya Koothan, with Suren G also overseeing sound mixing. Amol Bodake serves as the art director.
Produced by Kaarthikeyan Santhanam and Vartika Jain under the banners of Stone Bench Studio and Misrilall Pictures, Hide & Silk is gearing up for release in Tamil and Telugu. The release date and further details about the film are expected to be announced in the coming days.
