‘Vishwanath & Sons’ Team Thanks Fans and Media for the Film’s Success

The team of ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and directed by Venky Atluri, has expressed its gratitude to audiences and the media for the overwhelming response to the film. Starring The One Suriya in the lead, the film released worldwide on August 14 and has been receiving strong support from audiences, with the makers celebrating its successful theatrical run at a special event held in Chennai.
Distributor Haritha Lingasamy, actor Sunil Reddy, lyricist Balaji Venugopal, actresses Radhika Sarathkumar, Bhavani Sre and Mamitha Baiju, music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar and director Venky Atluri were among those who attended the event and shared their experiences of working on the film.
Lyricist Balaji Venugopal said that stepping onto the stage as a lyricist for the first time was a particularly special moment for him. He revealed that he had collaborated with Arunraja Kamaraj for the songs in the film and thanked G. V. Prakash Kumar and Venky Atluri for giving him the opportunity. Calling G. V. Prakash Kumar more of a mentor than merely a friend, he praised the composer’s musical journey and described Venky Atluri as a filmmaker with a strong sense of humanity. According to him, ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ represents not just the director’s artistic vision but also his heart. He also recalled Suriya’s humility and kindness and said the actor’s portrayal of a family man had connected strongly with audiences.
Bhavani Sre expressed her happiness at being part of the film and thanked Venky Atluri for giving her the role of Meghna. She recalled initially feeling nervous about sharing screen space with Suriya, whom she had admired since childhood. However, his encouraging words during the shoot helped her overcome her hesitation and perform naturally. She also praised Radhika Sarathkumar and Mamitha Baiju for their performances and described her experience of shooting in Ooty as memorable.
Radhika Sarathkumar thanked the media and audiences for making the film a success. She praised the film for presenting family relationships and emotions in a manner that connected with viewers. She also lauded Venky Atluri’s writing, pointing out that every character in the film has its own emotional logic and justification. Radhika further expressed confidence that the director has a bright future ahead.
Mamitha Baiju congratulated the entire team and thanked the audience and media for their support. She urged those who had not yet watched the film to experience it in theatres, saying that the film would leave viewers with a sense of emotional satisfaction after the end credits.
Music composer G. V. Prakash Kumar thanked the producers and the production houses for giving him the opportunity to score the film. He spoke about his continued collaboration with Venky Atluri, following ‘Vaathi’ and ‘Lucky Baskhar’. With ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ becoming their third consecutive collaboration, he described the successful association as a hat-trick.
G. V. Prakash Kumar also revealed that the film’s music had received appreciation in the Telugu film industry and that people he met in Hyderabad had specifically praised the album. He said two songs were created in just three days during the final stage of production and have subsequently received a strong response from listeners. He also expressed happiness over the film’s performance in overseas markets and Andhra Pradesh.
Director Venky Atluri thanked the audiences and media for supporting ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, particularly after his earlier films ‘Vaathi’ and ‘Lucky Baskhar’. He said the film marked his first directorial venture in Tamil and recalled the nervousness he experienced before the special press screening. The appreciation and affection he received from journalists after the screening, he said, would remain unforgettable.
Venky Atluri also spoke warmly about his collaboration with G. V. Prakash Kumar, revealing that their association had grown from ‘Vaathi’ to three films. He praised the composer for his flexibility and commitment during the music-production process. Speaking about Suriya, the director said the actor readily agreed to the family-oriented story without imposing expectations and credited his courage and affection for his fans as important factors behind the film’s success.
Venky Atluri further revealed that he had been told that ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ had crossed the ₹150-crore mark at the box office, describing the news as an emotional and proud moment. He concluded by thanking every audience member who purchased a ticket and every fan whose applause and support have contributed to the film’s theatrical journey.
